Pratishtha: Welcoming Devta Gudaru Sahib at the Darkhul

On chilly days of January in year 2009 Himalayan village of Diswani in hill regions of Shimla district hosted Patishta - festival of establishment of Mahasu Devta Gudaru in the newly reconsturucted temple named Dharkhul.

This Pratishtha of village deity to its erstwhile seat after a gap of almost year during with renovation of the old temple was going on with the Shramdan of the village. Which concluded with Devta Sahib Gudaru Diswani being re-affirmed to its sanctum on Darkhul (see pic: Darkhul, name of the temple building) on 6, 7 8 January 2009.

This festival witnessed thousands of devotees of Devta Sahib Gudaru Diswani gathered in Diswani village to celebrate the home in ceremony - Patishta of the Devta Sahib.

Patishta, a three day event started on 6th of january. First day of the event was observed as Saghera meaning aggregation of people and village Deities from diffent villages. Devta sahib of Gawas, Devta sahib of Devidhar were invited for the event.
